Café del Sol Botanico is designed to feel as though you’ve stepped into an urban greenhouse – all dappled light and botanical motifs, with the gentle hum of long lunches unfolding. It’s the Bryanston outpost of the much-loved Cafe del Sol family (with sibling restaurants in Honeydew and Steyn City), and it carries that same reputation for consistency. The menu is firmly rooted in Italian classics – regulars rave about the risottos – and the generous mains never waiver in quality. There’s a reassuring predictability here: every dish arrives exactly as you remember it, and exactly as you hoped.
