Franco’s Pizzeria & Trattoria
The Italian “dining room of Parkview”.
Opened in 1987, Franco’s Pizzeria & Trattoria is woven into the very fabric of this neighbourhood – to the extent that it’s often affectionately referred to as “the dining room of Parkview”. It’s a family-run and family-oriented affair, with a reputation built on authentic Italian cuisine, generous portions and a buzzing atmosphere that rarely sees a table left empty (booking ahead is essential, with good reason). At the heart of the restaurant you’ll find the eponymous Franco Forleo manning his iconic red pizza oven, keeping those crisp, generously topped pizzas coming. Dinner here is a warm, welcoming, characterful experience – much like the man behind it all. And with no corkage on your table’s first bottle of wine, it’s easy to settle in for a long, meandering meal, the Italian way.
Don't leave without trying:
The day’s fresh, flavourful, authentic specials (although you also can’t go wrong with a pizza from that iconic, wood-fired oven).
