Owner and chef Mark Mattinson and his wife Sarah take pizza very seriously at this local pizzeria and strive to produce the best canotto pizza using authentic Italian flavours and excellent quality ingredients. A “canotto” refers to a small, inflatable boat in Italian and the puffy, inflated crust of the pizza is said to resemble the edges of these boats. The dough is fermented over a few days, the crusts are suitably puffy and the centres perfectly crispy. They also use Italian San Marzano tomatoes to make their tomato sauce, which are known for their sweetness and are the traditional choice of Italian pizzaiolos. The menu caters to all tastes, so you’re sure to find something that hits the spot. There’s also a vegan option but unfortunately, they can’t cater for gluten-free guests.

The truffle pizza – San Marzano tomato base, coppa, mixed mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, thyme and truffle oil.
