Piza e Vino
A family-style Italian spot with a reputation built on its excellent, slow-fermented pizza bases.
Although it’s part of a small chain, the Piza ē Vino in Auckland Park retains its warmth and personality. The leafy courtyard comes alive in summer, while a crackling fireplace sets the scene for a winter comfort dinner. And comforting it is indeed … The wood-fired Italian pizza bases are made from a treasured family recipe, passed down by generations in Sorrento. The slow-fermented dough is crafted over the course of 60 hours to develop the depth, flavour and lightness that brings Piza e Vino regulars back time and again. Of course, you’ll also find antipasti, generously portioned pastas and even burgers on the menu, each delivering on both value for money and flavour. The friendly, attentive service is another big drawcard.
Don't leave without trying:
The seafood pasta (which doesn’t skimp on the prawns, mussels and calamari). Opt for the extra cream at a small surcharge.
