Shanna’s Portuguese Restaurant
Bountiful portions of authentic Portuguese favourites.
You’ll want to arrive hungry at this haven of Portuguese comfort food. The menu is a love letter to Iberian coastal and grill classics – think beautifully grilled, meaty king prawns, juicy lamb chops, hearty seafood platters that balance fire and smoke with precision, and enough traditional fare to satisfy the Porto-philes (sardines, chourico, trinchado, feijoada). If the authentic, delicious cuisine and generous portions aren’t enough to keep locals returning, the atmosphere at Shanna’s will do it. The vibe is warm, friendly and decidedly unfussy – as one diner put it, “Like a family dinner at home but far more delicious and you don’t have to do the washing up.”
Don't leave without trying:
The chourico starter followed by Portuguese steak (fillet steak, egg and chips), rounded out with the much-lauded classic crème brûlèe – if you have room!
