Fynboshoek Cheese Farm

This farm-to-table treasure offers an unforgettable lunch that is centred – as we wish more things in life were – on cheese. Dining is by appointment only, as everything is freshly prepared on the day by the chef-owner. There’s no menu, so every meal feels seasonal and personal – as though you had simply popped over to your favourite gourmand neighbour’s at lunchtime. Salad ingredients are picked fresh from the farmhouse garden, bread is baked daily, and everything is rounded off with a freshly baked cake or tart made using fruit from the farm, served with home-made ice cream. For a really special experience, book the two-hour cheesemaking demonstration, after which you can take home the halloumi and ricotta you helped to make.
