Gigi Rooftop Restaurant and Bar

Located on the rooftop of Gorgeous George boutique hotel in Cape Town’s city centre, Gigi is described as a “living room for the neighbourhood”. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it offers hotel residents and outside guests a concise menu including French toast, croque madame, a fruit bowl, and the Gigi Full Fry-Up if you’re feeling really hungry for breakfast. Lunch and dinner meander between starters of oysters, “faux” gras (made with mushroom parfait instead of duck liver) and tuna crudo, salads, burgers, and larger plates such as confit lamb shank, steaks, bouillabaisse and West Coast mussels. It’s also a popular spot for cocktails, paired with snacks including truffle arancini, a tin of sardines, and salt-crusted sourdough made locally by Woodstock Bakery. It’s the perfect spot for a little people-watching or a party when there’s live music. The rooftop pool is reserved for hotel guests only.
