Muse Restaurant
A consistently excellent fine-dining gem without pretence.
Muse is a brilliant example of just how good relaxed fine-dining can be when heart and artistry are behind it. The team in the kitchen, led by owners Allan and Simone Bezuidenhout, treats seasonal South African ingredients with flair and precision, presenting dishes that are as beautiful as they are flavourful. Precisely balanced starters such as mussel tortellini (with a lemon-and-parsley split sauce, beach cabbage and ciabatta) segue into heartier mains such as lamb rump or beef shortrib, with desserts often on the verge of stealing the show. Service is warm and attentive. The watchwords here are certainly “excellence” and “consistency”.
Don't leave without trying:
The lamb rump, currently served with beetroot hummus, glazed carrots and beetroot, crispy chickpeas and roasted aubergine.
