Novo Pizza & Wine

The focus of this family-run (and family-friendly) restaurant in Little Mowbray is very clear: it serves pizza, snacks and wine. But not just any pizza, and not just any wine. In a very short time, Novo has become known for serving some of the best pizza around – plus the wine list is well-considered and changes often. We also like the fact that, apart from the bubbles, every wine on their list is available by the carafe (250 ml). On the pizza front, expect top-notch bases with fresh and inventive toppings such as fennel sausage and caramelised onion, or the Rebel Bianco pizza with a Parmesan cream base, whole burrata, pesto, pine nuts and prosciutto. The atmosphere is casual, with a focus on comfort, and staff seem genuinely delighted to be serving their host of (often returning) diners. Simply put, it’s the kind of neighbourhood treasure that every suburb dreams of having.
