Whether you book a table at the main restaurant or grab a seat at the rather spectacular bar, you’re in for a good time at this wine bar/small-plates venue. An exceptional wine list with hundreds of local wines will make sure that everyone finds something delicious to sip. As for the food, it’s perfectly designed to complement the wines. You might find something like pan-fried cob with Cape Malay curry sauce, green chilli oil and crispy potato, or sirloin on the bone with bordelaise and patatas bravas on the list. As for dessert, the choux bun with milk tart filling and vanilla ice cream is a mainstay on the menu for good reason! We’re also very keen on the delicious and inventive bar snack menu. Service is friendly and efficient and the outside seating is perfect for lazy summer evenings. Tannin also holds regular food-and-wine pairings with local winemakers, so keep an eye out for those.
