This rustic, farm-style tearoom on a farm near Cape Point is a delight. It’s a bit of a drive, but totally worth it – combine it with a visit to the nearby Cape Point National Park on a leisurely weekend afternoon. The scones are freshly baked daily in a wood-fired oven and served with home-made jams and there are also other sweet treats on offer – you may find Cape brandy pudding or chocolate brownies on the menu. Drinks include coffee, tea, hot chocolate, chai, iced tea, kombucha and milkshakes. The resident farm animals are free to roam about, so don’t be surprised if a chicken or a piglet comes to forage for crumbs under your table! There’s a small, quirkily decorated inside area with a few seats, and more tables and chairs in the garden. They close during the winter months, so keep an eye on their social media, and only accept cash.
