This excellent Cantonese eatery fits right in with the buzzing, trendy vibe of Cape Town’s Bree Street. Grab a seat on the pavement or sit inside where you can watch some of the cooking action from the counter. A concise menu delivers super-flavourful dishes including spring rolls, salt-and-pepper prawns with a nice kick, prawn toast and potstickers from the small plates section. They also excel at making fresh, perfectly steamed dumplings. There are so many delicious bites to enjoy here, from well-made crispy pork belly to saucy, moreish Mongolian chicken. There’s also a nicely curated wine list that focuses on small producers, as well as a few Asian beers. The vibe is casual and service is on point. It’s the perfect spot for date night, or a feast with friends, but be sure to book for dinner as space is limited. Lunch is walk-in only.

Don't leave without trying:
The spicy “smacked cucumbers”.
