Vine's signature lounge-to-table experience sets a cosy tone from the moment you arrive. Settle into a fireside armchair for a pre-prandial drink, then move through to your table at your own pace (or enjoy the full menu, served directly to your comfy lounge corner). The menu spans small plates (steak tartare infused with bone marrow, escargot in phyllo, Dullstroom trout focaccia), comfort lunch plates (think bobotie, farm-style chicken-and-mushroom pie, or hake and chips) and heartier signature plates for dinner (slow-cooked lamb shank; butter chicken; oven-baked trout). Give yourself plenty of time to peruse Vine’s famous wine list – it’s 10 pages long with roughly 40 local wineries represented per varietal. Dogs welcome on the patio; children welcome throughout.
