At the Courtyard Bistro + Theatre

At the Courtyard is widely known to serve some of the best food in the beautiful country town of McGregor. It’s a very popular dinner spot (be sure to book) and offers a fantastic bistro menu with something for every palate. There are small plates for the not-so-hungry or the indecisive, such as cauliflower tempura with Japanese mayo, as well as vegetarian and vegan options including a pea-and-mint salad with roasted almonds, sprouts and a lemon dressing; freshly made pastas; a selection of seafood, and something for the carnivores – try the fillet Bearnaise or grilled Karoo lamb cutlets. And then there are the pizzas, made Neapolitan-style and boasting interesting toppings such as hot honey, bacon and goat’s cheese. A well-priced wine list with a good local focus complements the food. And as for the welcome – you could hardly wish for more warmth. The hospitality from owners and chefs Meg and Steve will make your visit very memorable.
