This steakhouse on Hermanus’s waterfront consistently receives rave reviews. It’s decorated in steampunk style, which adds an extra layer of interest, and the restaurant prides itself on sourcing excellent quality meat that’s also available to purchase from the deli to cook at home. You can expect fillet, sirloin and rib-eye from the wet-aged selection, but the drawcard here is definitely the dry-aged meat, which includes some more interesting, lesser-known cuts. Choose from a display presented by your waitron, add a side and a sauce, and you’re all set. Other options include an impressive list of burgers (including one topped with mac and cheese), ribs, pasta and a few seafood dishes. For dessert, expect classics including baked New York cheesecake and crème caramel, plus indulgent milkshakes – maple bacon and salted caramel popcorn anyone?
