You could say that Enrico’s (as it’s known among its fans) is Keurboomstrand, and not many people would contradict you. It’s the heartbeat of this small seaside enclave just outside Plettenberg Bay, with people often queueing for a table – and the wait is worth it. It has a unique setting right above Keurboomstrand’s endless beach and the rocks below, with guests often spotting whales and dolphins, and perhaps even orcas, which are known to hunt in these waters. The menu is extensive – salads, pizza, pasta, grills, seafood – it covers all the bases. Start off with a bomba, a thin, crispy, puffy focaccia (with garlic or without), which will elicit envious glances from neighbouring tables, then settle in for a few hours over a bottle of wine and admire the view with a group of friends. This is what being on holiday should feel like.

Don't leave without trying:
The Enrico Special pizza – olives, ham, onions, green pepper and artichokes.
