The general opinion here is that chef Stefan Roos really knows his way around the kitchen (especially breadmaking) and that you just cannot go wrong with anything he sends out. This includes what is described as the best sourdough pizza in the Overberg. His menu is small and changes often but you can look forward to delicious flavour combinations in dishes such as an Italian meatball pizza with fior di latte and Parmesan cream. This being a coastal spot, there’s also some great seafood to be had, including a Cape Malay-spiced kingklip with basmati rice, and a mouthwatering prawn risotto with anchovy caper butter. The atmosphere is stylish but laid-back, the service attentive, the playlist excellent, and the drinks menu has a nice local focus. Do not pass through the area (or finish your coastal visit) without stopping here. In fact, the food is so good that some Capetonians make a day trip just to dine at Stefan’s table.

Don't leave without trying:
If available, the lamb kofta with spiced chutney and herbed yoghurt dressing on sourdough flatbread.
