The aroma of baking will tempt you inside this café, where you’ll find a range of Lebanese-inspired food on offer, including dips, meze, breakfast, lunch, and the freshest, pillowy pita breads and ka’ak (an oval-shaped flatbread) baked in authentic ovens imported from Lebanon. Sit down to enjoy breakfast or lunch – the shakshuka is excellent, as is the cheesy, eggy manakish – a cheesy flatbread topped with fried eggs and za’tar and served with spicy harissa. The hawawshi – a pita bread filled with spiced, minced Angus beef, tomatoes, onions and herbs, topped with tahina and pickles – will set you up for the rest of the day. The chicken, beef and falafel shawarmas, wraps, döner kebabs and fatayer (small pies) are all equally delicious – you really can’t go wrong with anything here. We challenge you to leave without taking home a packet of pitas and some of their delicious dips. There’s also a branch in Claremont, plus both stores deliver within a 15-km radius.

Don't leave without trying:
The falafel shawarma.
