Momo Baohaus brings the energy of an Asian street-food market to Rosebank, serving bold flavours in a lively, always-busy space. It’s part of the much-loved Momo group, which not only includes this original institution in Greenside, but also the dim-sum focused Momo Kuro; Momo XO (which has a sushi angle); and Momo XO, where Joburg ramen lovers get their fix. Baohaus leans into crowd-pleasing dishes done well. The menu revolves around pillowy-soft bao, noodles handmade on site, and some of the city’s most addictive Asian-inspired small plates (you can also get sushi at this location, don’t worry!). If you’re after that perfect balance of sticky and sweet, this is the spot for you. Best approached hungry, with friends and no intention of ordering modestly.
