Peregrine Farm Stall
An iconic South African farm stall with a sit-down café.
If you’ve ever taken a road trip from Cape Town towards Hermanus on the N2, you’ve either stopped here or noticed the packed carpark as you’ve driven past. To say the Peregrine Farm Stall is iconic is an understatement. It’s been open for 60 years and is the focus around which a few other smaller shops are clustered. Stop here for one of the legendary pies, and stock up on fresh bread, quiches, bread rolls, cakes, tarts, and almost anything else you can imagine, from wine to olive oil, cheese, freshly pressed Elgin apple juice, meat, vegetables, preserves and more. There’s also a sit-down restaurant if you have time to linger a little longer, as well as a fresh juice bar and coffee hatch outside. In fact, you could probably do all your shopping here on the way to your weekend getaway! There’s also a bookshop and a store selling vintage items on the property. Peregrine is simply a must-stop on your itinerary.
Don't leave without trying:
