Inspired by the terrace lifestyle of the Mediterranean, Taratza invites you to do what our modern pace of life rarely allows for: to sit, savour and linger a little longer. Sunlight pours across the large patio, while indoors you’ll find high ceilings, exposed beams and a soothing decor sensibility with plenty of earthy tones and natural textures. The menu is diverse to say the least. There’s a strong focus on vibrant, contemporary Mediterranean dishes – meze, tapas, wraps, tramezzini, salads and grilled seafood – but you’ll also find traditional pasta, crispy thin-crust pizza, burgers and even sushi. Open from 7am and offering a free cappuccino with every breakfast, it’s as popular with rise-and-grind entrepreneurs as it is with families, who will find themselves well catered for not only on the menu but with a gorgeous little Astro-turfed playground with its own mini bike track.
