The Book Club
Bold flavours and beautifully plated food await you at this Pringle Bay eatery.
Those in the mood for elegance and a touch of fine-dining in the Overberg should immediately book a table here. If the breakfast menu doesn’t win you over (although we doubt that, how about some ’nduja-spiced shakshuka?), then come for lunch or dinner. Start your experience with an interesting cocktail (rooibos negroni, anyone?) and move on to fresh oysters with shallot mignonette. If you can get past the small plates – such as yellowfin tuna with lime and tamarind – then head for the mains, where the chef’s signature Durban curry or braaied carpenter fish with lemon, capers and parsley sauce will hit the spot. Leave some room for dessert – there’s a spiced apple tarte tatin with Madagascan vanilla ice cream that has your name on it. The decor is modern and sleek, and the service is excellent. There’s a lot of talent and passion at work here – settle in for a great experience.
Don't leave without trying:
The whipped beetroot with goat’s cheese and candied lemon.
