This eatery and coffee roastery is connected to the popular Via’s Guesthouse and for what is often called an “unassuming” (meaning unpretentious) restaurant, it’s become known for serving some of the best food in the area. The menu is vast, starting off with a wide array of breakfasts, before moving on to café food including toasties and wraps. Other lunch options include butter chicken, bobotie, some interesting salads and fabulous burgers – the “double up” burger with organic home-made beef patties, onion marmalade and Cheddar is particularly alluring. Many sweet treats can be found in the dessert section, although many customers head straight for the gourmet shakes. With flavours such as gingerbread and pistachio white chocolate, this is easy to understand. The coffee is as good as you’d hope from a roastery (try the coffee tasting) and service with a smile is at the order of the day.
