Since 2017, the coastal town of Pearly Beach has been home to Whale Coast Brewing Co. craft brewery. Not only is the beer really, really good but the pizzas and burgers offered at the on-site restaurant have garnered just as good a reputation. It’s a relaxed and casual venue with a small-town vibe, but the kitchen is serious about creating delicious food. Everything on offer goes well with beer – be it a plate of loaded nachos, a well-made pizza (the Camelot with bacon, Camembert and green fig appeals) or a delicious burger. In the latter category, the Rockstar burger with Cheddar, streaky bacon and avo seems to be a particular favourite. As for the drinks, of course you’re going to be drinking some of the brewery’s excellent craft beer – remember to ask the friendly staff about the brew of the month.
