Gochu Gang Stellenbosch
A vibrant Asian street-food experience with good service and heaps of energy.
Headed by chef Darren Badenhorst of Le coin Français fame, it’s no surprise that Gochu Gang has made waves since its opening in Stellenbosch a couple of years ago. Fans show up (repeatedly) for a vibey Asian street-food experience. There’s lots do dig into here – from fresher-than-fresh sushi to fluffy bao buns, a variety of dumplings and flavourful wok dishes. This is food made for sharing – as can be seen in the option to order a 15-piece dumpling platter that includes a range of flavours. The eatery is known for its vibrant decor, friendly service and late closing times on weekends (1 am on Fridays and Saturdays!), which makes it the perfect option when those late-night cravings kick in. Also worth noting are the cocktails with favourites including the Jungle Bird (rum, pineapple, lemon, Campari) and the Pink Panda (sake, cherry blossom, watermelon, mint). Don’t mind if we do!
