Let’s Frite Franschhoek

As you would expect from an eatery with the name Let’s Frite (a.k.a. let’s fry things), the focus here is on all kinds of delicious fried items. It has quickly become known for serving some of the best burgers in the town, but we’re also hearing very good things about the melt-in-your-mouth ribs and the crispy buffalo wings. On the burger side of things, there are great options to choose from, from an excellent buttermilk chicken burger to a pork belly burger and the ever-popular Big Boy double beef cheeseburger. But where things get very interesting is with the selection of specialty fries: think “dirty fries” with buffalo spice, bacon jam and ranch mayo, truffle frites with truffle oil and grated Parmesan, and curry frites with masala spice, peanuts and tomato salsa. Service is quick and friendly; the decor is trendy and relaxed. Ask for a table outside under the trees in good weather.
