A country bakery specialising in sourdough products.
Owners Lyndsay and Dave Goncalves started baking sourdough in Johannesburg during lockdown and loved it so much that they decided to move to the KZN Midlands and do it full time. The result is Miche Bakehouse, which specialises in sourdough products including bread, doughnuts, cookies, cheesecake, brownies and much more. Their dough is fermented for a minimum of 24 hours, and they use no yeast or other raising agents. The result is a host of flavourful baked goods that keep people coming back for more. They also offer breakfast and brunch, sandwiches and pastries, and there’s a glass-fronted counter filled with tempting treats. You’ll also find something delicious to take home from the deli, such as dips, pickles, rusks or a frozen sliced loaf of sourdough, and we recommend trying the Vietnamese coffee before you go. You’ll soon be back for more.
