When your family has been in the seafood business since 1991 – with their own fleet of vessels, a crustacean-processing plant and national distribution – you have a head-start on freshness. Tyler Loomes, son of Tightline Fisheries founders Paul and Cherie, has parlayed that advantage into one of KZN's most exciting seafood restaurants. Browse the counter and choose your personal catch of the day from linefish, prawns, scallops, oysters and crab, or settle into the chic, cosmopolitan interior for sushi, cocktails and a chef's menu that makes the most of what the sea gave up that morning. Don’t miss the “Seafood Diet” Sundays (“I see food, I eat it”), where you’ll be served a groaning seafood platter complete with “fries for days” and bottomless paella alongside DJ sets and good vibes all round.

Don't leave without trying:
The “Poorman’s Lobster Roll” (monkfish fried in a crispy beer batter, served on a brioche bun with pickles, Japanese mayo, teriyaki sauce and hand-cut fries) or the signature Salt & Pepper Chokka (with the perfect balance of garlic and chilli, and a spring-onion sprinkle).
