If you’re on the hunt for a tasty breakfast, a quick coffee or pastry, or a slice of the famous birthday cake, you’ll find it here. The Norfolk Deli is a friendly, approachable neighbourhood café that has quickly become indispensable to locals and tourists alike. Owners Chelsy and Marius Theron have created a warm, welcoming space, and serve excellent food. Pop in for breakfast or lunch, or to try one of the decadent cakes – the aforementioned birthday cake (vanilla sponge with buttercream icing and rainbow sprinkles) has become their signature, but there’s a lot more where that came from. The crookies (a croissant-cookie hybrid) are Instagram-famous and often sell out almost immediately. Add to that salads, soups, pizzas and sandwiches, and you have all the ingredients for a success story. They’re also known for their excellent quality matcha, and there’s a small deli section selling bread, olive oil and other locally made treats. You’ll soon feel right at home.
