There’s often something about a café in a garden centre that just can’t be beaten – perhaps it’s the proximity to nature that makes everything taste wholesome and delicious. This is true of Sagewood Café at the Blackwoods Home of Gardening, which serves consistently excellent-quality food in a relaxing environment alongside the Dorpspruit River. Grab a table on the deck overlooking the river and treat yourself to the likes of breakfast including toasted breakfast quesadillas, the “French Kiss” – French toast with a crispy Brie cigar, chunky strawberries and blueberries, plus other satisfying options. Lunch takes the shape of burgers, wraps, sandwiches, salads, pizza and bigger plates including pasta, curries, chicken, fish and meaty options. Save space for waffles, cruffins and the baker’s table… Service is efficient, friendly and attentive.

Don't leave without trying:
The masala chicken, mango and avo salad.
