The Noisy Oyster
Quirky and fun, this Paternoster institution delights with boldly flavoured food.
The vibe you can expect at The Noisy Oyster is in the title – they like a bit of noise here. This is not the place to go for starched white tablecloths or fine dining – expect big, bold flavours and a fun dining experience. Those looking for good seafood will find plenty to enjoy – standouts include delicately flavoured hake velouté, seafood laksa and baked kingklip. But vegetarians and vegans will also go home satisfied – the pani puri on the starters menu (Indian puffed snacks with potato and lentil masala) appear to delight all who come into contact with it. And the kitchen also knows what to do with meat, sending out perfectly cooked pepper sirloin and flavourful, slow-roasted pork belly. The decor is quicky and cosy, staff are attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere is lively – you’ll leave with a full belly and a smile on your face.
Don't leave without trying:
